Doctor Luis Urrea talks ACLs – 507

Who is Doctor Luis Urrea

Dr. Urrea is a regular attendee for the Davis Mountain clinic and joins Bubba for an interview after his talk.

With a special interest in knee and hip Dr. Urrea aligns very closely with Bubba Wilson's new thinking on ACL rehab and RTP.

ACLs, and pretty much all surgeries, should require functional testing to advance physical therapy or rehabilitation.

Luis Urrea

What should ACL RTP look like?

Instead of being a time based approach they should b able to perform specific tasks or movements before moving on to the next phase.

Once you can do 3 sets of 10 wall squats we move to TRX squats, then to body weight squats, then loaded squats…

It was a rainy night out in Fort Davis and you can hear that in back ground.

Dr. David Crumbie; ACL Evolution
Dr. Crumbie is always a fun guy to have around and chat with.  I am thankful for the opportunity to have spent time with him in the clinic and on the sidelines.
I am so thankful for the advances in medicine after hearing some of the treatments and cures for a “bum knee.”

Who makes this possible?

Thanks Bob Marley for continuing to allow us to record and interview the speakers.

ACL Repair With Vipool Goardia – 98

Advances In ACL Rehab and ACL Repair With Vipool Goardia – 98

Thanks to Morgan Wilson Music for allowing us to use parts of her songs.

Here is our interview with Dr. Vipool Goardia.  Since this recording comes from a live conference, some elements are lost due to lack of visual props and some crowd noise can be heard.  The stellar content more than makes up for the difference in sound quality.

Bob Marley allowed us to record and interview the guests of the Memorial Hermann 13th Annual Sports Medicine Update.  In the course of two days we conducted about 24 interviews, streamed live for about 16 hours, and had a lot of help from Dr. Josh Yellen, Dr. Mark Knoblauch, Bill Hale, former student / future Athletic Trainer Jazmin Dozal, and current SAT Sarah Avina.
