Second Cup of Caffeine with Brett Singer – 274

Brett Singer's Session Audio

We are broadcasting live and interviewing the speakers of the Memorial Hermann's Sports Medicine Update.  It is a great way to continue improving your athletic training practice.  There are always new topics, new aspects of old topics and great re-freshers.

We plan to release the lecture and then the interview.  Through the course of the summer the podcasts will be shorter, more frequent, and a lot more raw (less editing).

All the lectures and handouts have been uploaded and are now available on Google Drive.

Meals Athletes Can Make – 127

Registered Dietitians Brett Singer (Memorial Hermann Ironman Sports Medicine) and Rita Zapien (H-E-B Grocery Stores) team up to bring practical meal advice for athletes.  Two of my favorite tips are:
1. Take students / athletes on a field trip to the store and show them what to buy.
2.  Speak with a RD and set up a store tour.

These two tips can really bring home the value and are super practical.

Lean Body Mass – Brett Singer – 93

93 – Eating to Increase Lean Body Mass – Brett Singer RD, CSCS, LD

Here is our interview with Brett Singer, RD.  Since this recording comes from a live conference, some elements are lost due to lack of visual props and some crowd noise can be heard.  The stellar content more than makes up for the difference in sound quality.

Bob Marley allowed us to record and interview the guests of the Memorial Hermann 13th Annual Sports Medicine Update.  In the course of two days we conducted about 24 interviews, streamed live for about 16 hours, and had a lot of help from Dr. Josh Yellen, Dr. Mark Knoblauch, Bill Hale, former student / future Athletic Trainer Jazmin Dozal, and current SAT Sarah Avina.
