Public Safety Athletic Trainer – 344

Interested in working with the police, fire fighters, or military as an Athletic Trainer?

PSAT is a great place to start gathering information on how you can help make our civil servants healthier and more effective.

Deena Kilpatrick saw a need for Firefighters to have an Athletic Trainer and built a business proposal, kept after the city admin and eventually got the opportunity to pitch it.

Currently 1.5 years into the gig they are looking into expanding and adding another staff member.  Another great story of Athletic Trainers doing what it takes but not settling for good enough.

Dr. Richard Andrassy's slides

Thank You Dr. Andrassy for your service to our country.

We are broadcasting live and interviewing the speakers of the Memorial Hermann's Sports Medicine Update.  It is a great way to continue improving your athletic training practice.  There are always new topics, new aspects of old topics and great re-freshers.

We plan to release the lecture and then the interview.  Through the course of the summer the podcasts will be shorter, more frequent, and a lot more raw (less editing).

All the lectures and handouts have been uploaded and are now available on Google Drive.
