Dermatological Issues in Athletics – 539

C. Mark Chassay, MD presents various cases of dermatological issues to ATs during the Sports Medicine Update.

I see dermatological pictures on social media all of the time:

“What do you think this is?”
“Anyone ever seen this before?”
Players have been complaining of…”

Check these out as well as the Follow up interview with Dr. Chassay to help you be prepared fir the next…”Hey, look at this” moment

Thanks to Bob Marley for continuing to allow us to record and interview the speakers.
Bubba Wilson, Ryan Collins, Josh Yellen, Mark Knoblauch, Eduardo Beltran and everyone else who helped make the recordings possible.

Digging into dermatology with Dr. Jimmy Gonzalez – 287

Me and Bubba took a road trip to South Padre Island to cover SPATS hosted by the Valley Athletic Trainer’s Association.  We recorded the sessions and interviewed almost all of the speakers.  Some of the recordings pick up noise, but this is a live event.
All the lectures and handouts will be uploaded to Google Drive.
Once the school year resumes we will return to our regular format.
Thanks to
Robbie McFarlin @ FrioHydration.com
Bubba Wilson – my driving buddy
Jazmin Dozal  Nicole Cascia and several others for the contributions.
Also be sure you are signed up for the SMB Email List as there will be codes and prizes given out from that list for our partnership with SchoolHealth.com
SPATS is truly an awesome conference.  If you want to relax and learn and enjoy networking, camaraderie and island life, I highly recommend checking this out for yourself. Use the coupon code “SMB” and see if it gets you a discount.

Skin Infections and Sports – 96

96 – Dermatology for Sports Medicine Professionals with Alysia Bedgood

Dr. Bedgood on Twitter

Thanks to Morgan Wilson Music for allowing us to use parts of her songs.

Here is our interview with Alysia Bedgood.  Since this recording comes from a live conference, some elements are lost due to lack of visual props and some crowd noise can be heard.  The stellar content more than makes up for the difference in sound quality.

Bob Marley allowed us to record and interview the guests of the Memorial Hermann 13th Annual Sports Medicine Update.  In the course of two days we conducted about 24 interviews, streamed live for about 16 hours, and had a lot of help from Dr. Josh Yellen, Dr. Mark Knoblauch, Bill Hale, former student / future Athletic Trainer Jazmin Dozal, and current SAT Sarah Avina.
